Sacred Himalaya is based in Lancashire, UK and Kathmandu, Nepal. The company is run by Gary Collier in the UK and Binay Lama in Nepal who, for many years now, have worked together taking clients on treks and tours in and around the breathtaking mountains that are the Himalayas.

Binay Lama comes from good mountaineering stock and has served his apprenticeship having started as a porter before moving on to being a successful trekking guide. He is seldom seen without his trademark beaming smile and works tirelessly and selflessly to ensure his clients have the best possible experience. This combined with his Physical and mental strength make him a very sought after guide. Binay Lama is from a Buddhist background and as such cares very much for the mountains and the Himalayan environment he was born and raised in. On reaching the top of each peak he summits, he lays out the Buddhist Prayer flags and offers Buddhist Prayers.

Gary has made Nepal his second home over the last decade having established a company called Pink Lotus ( www.pinklotus.co.uk ), which sells online Buddhist art and dharma products and founding the charity DCWC Nepal ( www.dcwcnepal.org ), which has gone on to build fifteen schools and a hospital. We also try as much as we can to support the KAT (Kathmandu Animal Treatment) centre ( www.katcentre.org.np ), which does wonderful work looking after the sick and wounded animals of Kathmandu. As part of our charity commitment we organised many charity treks and tours to the Himalayas which gave us the experience to expand our portfolio to where it is today.

Our company is firmly built on our Buddhist ethics with right livelihood at the heart of all we do in Nepal.
