My husband and I had the best experience ever, Binay and his boys not only took care of us in their professional roles, but also as friends and trekking companions. Annapurna Base Camp
We trekked to Annapurna Base Camp with Sacred Himalaya, and had the most amazing time. Our guide Binay was very knowledgeable and funny and we were well looked after. Everything was planned perfectly and even when we added extra days on at the end of the trek, it was easily sorted out for us. Would definitely use this company again.

Trust this small company with your life!
Sacred Himalaya is 100% trustworthy and will bend over backwards to help you from the minute you say hello until you say goodbye. You get a real feeling that you are with a local who is proudly showing you his homeland and you are not just a “tourist” who is there to pay their wages.

Nothing is too much trouble for these guys and it is good to know you are not paying lots of money to a big company who are living comfortably with minimum paid staff. Sacred Himalaya really do invest in giving other Nepalese guys a chance in life and share their success to others.

I am a doctor from the UK who recently undertook a work visit and trekking holiday in the beautiful country of Nepal together with my son. We were extremely fortunate in having Binay Lama, Lama as our guide. This trek was the most enjoyable trip of our lives. This was largely thanks to Binay. We undertook the Ghorapani/Poon Hill trek, recommended by Binay, which proved to be a fantastic experience. Everything was made so easy for us due Binay’s excellent organisational and trekking skills. Binay’s organization of the trek was meticulous and there was not a single problem with any aspect of the trip. Binay was kind, considerate and extremely understanding of all our needs. It was such a pleasure to be in his company. Binay is obviously extremely well trained both as a trekking and mountaineering guide. He is an extremely intelligent and popular young man with a wonderful temperament and an excellent sense of humor. I cannot praise Binay highly enough and I would recommend any potential trekkers to consider Binay as their guide.

Binay and his team at Sacred Himalaya really did provide us with an amazing ‘journey of discovery’ when we trekked in the Langtang region in April 2012. Our 11 days were superb and that was not just the scenery. Our guides and porters worked tirelessly in the background to make sure everything went smoothly from finding the best tea houses, to preparing and cooking wonderful meals to being flexible enough to adapt and change our route when we discovered that our pace was unusually faster than other groups, so we were able to cover more ground. Our route took us through the Tamang Heritage Trail, a fantastic ‘off the beaten track’ route, where for 5 days we did not meet another Westerner, then onto the Langtang Valley itself and finally up to Gosainkund Lakes. I cannot recommend Binay and his team more highly. If you are looking for a trekking company that adds that little extra go for Sacred Himalaya.

My wife and I were recommended to use Binay Lama by a work colleague as our guide for our first ever trekking trip to Nepal. From the first moment I made contact with him I knew our trip was going to be successful. His caring, understanding and professional approach to everything he undertook cannot be overstated. We were quite nervous about undertaking the trip but our minds were put at ease from our first meeting with Binay when we arrived off the plane at Kathmandhu. Our trip was a huge success and this was all down to Binay and his organization. This was all in October 2010. Since then Binay has visited my home in England and hosted three students on my recommendation this summer, 2011. My wife and I both feel we have made a life long friend in Binay Lama and would have no hesitation in recommending him and Sacred Himalaya to anyone looking for a visit to Nepal or trekking in the Himalayas

Binay is one of the most genuine people you will ever meet, he will give you time and listen and offer limitless support. We went on a trek to Kathmandu and Everest earlier this year and Binay was our main guide, he was fantastic and he has the ability to attract like-minded people. Binay surrounded himself with a superb team of guide assistants and porters and nothing was too much trouble for any of them, they had to cope with people being unwell whilst we were trekking to Everest base camp and they dealt with this very professionally and all the way through I felt a hundred percent happy and safe that they had the groups welfare as their main focus. Binay’s knowledge of Katmandu and the Himalayas is extensive and will take you to the ‘must see’ places as well as places that are not normally visited to give you an even better experience. The best way of comparing Binay with other treks is with Binay from the moment you meet him he will treat you like a close family member/friend and your whole experience will be a lot more personal and enjoyable as a result. If you are considering a trek/visit to the Himalayas or Nepal I strongly recommend that you contact Binay, it will be an experience you will never forget.

I cannot praise Binay Lama and his team highly enough. He handled every situation with ease, confidence and reassurance. After spending weeks shopping for just the right equipment and breaking in my trekking boots, I was dismayed to realize that my bag had not made the trip from Delhi to Kathmandu. We were a group of four heading for Langtang, and waiting for the bag (we had no idea when it would arrive) didn’t make sense. But Binay handled the situation with aplomb, never losing the smile from his face. We went into Thamel and bought or rented the essentials, and headed out of KTM only one day delayed. Needless to say this was a stressful situation for me, but to Binay it was just a minor hiccup. He then went back to KTM and picked up my bag from the airport (it arrived two days later) and delivered it back to me in Dunche at the end of the trek. I would also like to praise our second guide Krishna, who was exceptional. We ran into a slightly stressful situation at about 4800 m on a steep mountainside, but he brought us down safely and none the worse for wear (with some outstanding photos and videos). Compared to some of the stories we heard from other trekkers about their guides, we felt very lucky and well-cared for. A question we were asked “Can we have your guide”. I strongly recommend Binay and his team.

Our group of 4 had an amazing 12 day trek journey in late March/ early April that encompassed the Tamang Heritage Trail, Langtang Valley and a visit to the sacred mountain lakes of Gosaikund. Binay ran the show with a wonderful support team and his experienced offsider guide Krishna. The Tamang Heritage trail was fascinating, few tourists there and the experience was almost like living with the Tamang hosts in that Binay and team would prepare all the meals in the Tea House kitchens. Langtang is a great trek and we were all absolutely all altitude adjusted at this stage from Tamang for a pretty high ascent to ~4.8Km, unlike quite a few people we met on the way up with altitude sickness. Gosaikund was amazing – left in the morning in sunshine and shorts and arrived at our stop-off in snow in the late afternoon. Ascended the next morning amidst beautiful lakes and mountains. I MASSIVELY RECOMMEND CONTACTING BINAY AND SACRED HIMALAYA IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON A NEPALI TREKKING ADVENTURE – we had a great time and were looked after exceptionally well. Feel free to contact me direct if you have any questions, happy to answer!

“Our charity trek was organised through Sacred Himalaya, and we could not have asked for a better adventure. I could never, in a just few words, come close to recommending Binay and his team highly enough. From the moment we landed in Kathmandu we all felt welcome, the hotel was clean and comfortable and we liked Binay from the start. But we could not have foreseen what a wonderful guide, steadfast companion and true friend he would become. A couple of us had the misfortune to become ill in the Everest region, and yet at all times Binay knew what to do in order to keep us safe and ensure that those who could complete the trek still did so. Binay was also a great guide; he booked friendly and comfortable lodges, kept us well informed, chased after wildlife, collected souvenirs and rode horses… and he was never knackered. (We were.) His team of porters were wonderful, and I shall remember them all with pleasure. Despite my unlucky illness I had a really wonderful experience that I will treasure for the rest of my life. Five star service.”

I was lucky enough to spend a week trekking with Dhirga Lama in the Annapurna region in Nepal this August. Dhirga was not only professional and very knowledgeable about the mountains but great fun to be around. He was always patient when we found the way a little harder going and I felt completely safe in his capable hands. During my time in Nepal I was also able to visit the Chitwan national park. Our guide Binay Lama organised a brilliant program including white water rafting and jungle safari. Binay is one of the most welcoming people I have ever met and offers a highly professional service. I can highly recommend Dhirga, Binay and the company Sacred Himalaya. I couldn’t believe how simple and hassle free organising our trek and trip to Chitwan National park was. Both Dhirga and Binay are true gentlemen, and now good friends, who made my time in Nepal a really special experience which I will never forget. I look forward to being able to return Nepal and would not hesitate to use Sacred Himalaya for any of my future trips.

Namaste …… Binay is one of the most fantastic people you’ll ever meet. Not only is he an incredible guide he’s also a brilliant friend, and will go out if his way to help you in any way he can. I had some of the most amazing times of my life in Nepal and so much of that was personally due to Binay and his friends. Dhanybhad Binay, I will never forget my time with you.

As I have known my brother Binay and his wonderful work he does not only for Nepali people and I can honestly say, I can close my eyes and let him lead me to the base camp of ME and never get scared as I know he d do his best with the blessings of Gods to bring me home safe…Binay is a young man but an experienced one and I trust his judgement and experience even though not accepting it easily:)

My first experience of trekking at all in any mountain range was in the Himalayas in 2005. Binay was always ready to go and was keen to help you stay motivated along the trek. He also brought a lovely cuppa first thing in the morning to your room, even though he was not a well man at the beginning of the trek, he never showed it. I don’t think I have ever seen Binay without a smile. Always willing to show an interest in you and try and participate in the conversation. I wouldn’t have any second thoughts about trekking with Binay again, a positive memorable experience.

From the moment Binay met us at the airport we were made to feel very welcome. As the trip progressed we found Binay to be the most fantastic genuine person you could ever meet. It is hard to put into words how much he looked after every single individual. Nothing was too much trouble for him, and he even lost sleep with worry when we were taken ill in the mountains. We came back from our trek feeling as we had been into the heart of Kathmandu and its culture. I have never had a holiday like it and it will live with me forever – all thanks to Binay.

Binay is a man of many talents. Not only is he a superb trekking guide, he is general fix it guy, who can adapt to whatever the situation demands. During our trek a number of the group fell ill; Binay ordered the other guides and porters so that those who were in a fit state to carry on were able to do so, and those who needed to go down/receive medical assistance were given every assistance and help that was required. He never once lost his good humour and his cheery smile and enthusiasm are infectious. Throughout the trek he ensured we had good accommodation and were well fed – acting as waiter, interpreter and anything else that was needed. His ability to chase the Impean pheasant across the rugged mountain-side is second to none. When you meet Binay you may see him as a guide, when you leave you will say goodbye to a friend.

I undertook the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek with Sacred Himalaya in November 2010. It was a fantastic experience. Binay is an excellent guide and not only is extremely knowledgeable about Nepal but is great company and great fun to travel with. Although I traveled by myself, I always felt safe and very well looked after. I would recommend Binay Lama and Sacred Himalaya to anyone who wants to have a fantastic, fun trip in Nepal.

A true gent. I was accompanied by him on a Trek to Everest four years ago, and he was by my side most of the way carrying my camera equipment and other belongings. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and he was always willing to go the extra mile to accommodate any requests. You go through life meeting many different characters, and I have to say Binay is one of life’s great human beings, it has been a pleasure to know him.
